Author W.R. Gingell
W.R. Gingell is a Tasmanian author who lives in a house with a green door. She loves to rewrite fairytales with a twist or two–and a murder or three–and original fantasy where dragons, enchantresses, and other magical creatures abound. Occasionally she will also dip her toes into the waters of SciFi. You can visit her Amazon Author Page HERE.
W.R. spends her time reading, drinking an inordinate amount of tea, and slouching in front of the fire to write. Like Peter Pan, she never really grew up, and is still occasionally to be found climbing trees.

Why isn’t the Between series showing up in your list of books? This is one of the best series I have ever read! One of the very few I have read twice and even fewer that I have read 3 times. I am waiting for #8 in the series with anticipation that it will be as good as the other seven. Fantastically well written with consistent and thorough character development. I am a mature reader whose passion is reading and I love this series. Thank you.
goodness! i forgot about the Between series O_o i’ll have to add that! so glad that you’re enjoying the series; it’s a delight for me to write, as well =)
Five months after Laura A. Farmer’s comment (above) and the Between series is still not showing in your list of books, which makes me wonder. Is Amazon not paying you a reasonable cut?
ahahah noooo, that’s because it apparently takes me months to do something that will only take about an hour because i keep forgetting about/ignoring it when i do remember…
Have binged (and loved!) the City Between – finished book 9…..and it’s not finished! There’s another book coming…is there…is there…? Please…?
One more to come in the main series, yes 😁😁
Hello! I love your work, and have introduced my friends to your books. However, we are mightily confused about something . . . . How do you pronounce your last name?
ahaha, technically it doesn’t really matter to me b/c it’s a pen name, but the correct pronunciation is GIN gell; gin as in bin, and gell as in juul (almost rhymes with bull)
Hey I have a question? I was looking on your blog and it said the last post was posted in 2021? I’m wondering if I just can’t get the link to load right or if you just haven’t posted in a while. So I’m trying to figure it out k thx😬 because I adore everything you write
whoops! haven’t been here in a while, hence long reply time… I’m hoping to restart the blog soon, but i also want to get a proper website designed for me and i am Very Bad at getting stuff done. So it might be a while, but this place will definitely pop up again (whether that takes another 6 months or just 6 weeks) 😀

hopefully that will work! sometimes changing browsers can work, too; but that only works so long as my link isn’t broken. the above link is definitely the right one!
Hello! I have kind of a strange question I guess. I listened to Spindle on Audible and absolutely loved it, however, the only other title in the Two Monarchies Sequence that’s listed as an audiobook is Wolfskin, which is I think the seventh? in the series. Any particular reason that none of the other titles from that series are available in audio from?
hi! sorry for the late response! Wolfskin is (kinda) a prequel as it occurs (timewise) before the events of Spindle–or at least, between the time of the start of the book and the end of it. I haven’t yet made audio of the others (audiobooks are long and energy-draining to arrange, so I’ve been dragging my feet) but I hope to have Blackfoot started (or hopefully finished) by the end of this year, and another two produced next year.
Just read Gothel and the Maiden Prince. So impressed. The complexity of the way Gothel and Lucien’s magic worked, his gentleness with Zelle, and the way you built the relationships, as well as how you handled the sensitive stuff-all this to say I look forward to reading more of your work.
that’s so lovely to hear! thank you! i’m glad it touched you!
